At Buckton Vale we have decided to follow the Kapow Computing programme of study.
The scheme of work is highly organised and structured to support the teaching and learning of computing in an easy and interactive format. The programme of study meets all the elements of the National Curriculum along with developing life skills for children to work in our ever changing digital world.
Computing skills are taught through a variety of discrete and cross curriculum sessions across the school from EYFS to Year 6. Teaching and learning teaches the principles of computing through the three core strands of computer science, information technology and digital literacy. Children use a variety of hardware and software along with developing a solid understanding and awareness of online safety.
